Once a month Aubrey, Carrie, Jacquelyn and I team up to bring you the 5 Little Confessions link up! You can confess anything your little heart desires. And link up!
1. I love Halloween, until I don't. That's usually a few days before Halloween (not very convenient!) but this year it was right about perfect. And I think it's because Halloween landed on a Friday. When it falls on a Monday or Tuesday we celebrate the weekend before so I feel like it should be over, but it just. Keeps. Going. Glad it's over now ;)
2. Every afternoon nap time and at bed time I pick out four or five mini candy bars and eat them. I haven't gained any weight, but I haven't lost any either. I've got to knock it out pronto!
3. I love Thanksgiving, but I don't love the gratitude posts on social media. Gratitude belongs to the person who gave it to you. You're thankful for your husband? Say a prayer and tell your husband. Write it in a journal. Otherwise it feels like bragging to me. And I think some things we're grateful for can really hurt others who don't have those things. It just makes the comparison problem of social media easier to get sucked into.
4. Not only am I listening to Christmas music, but Olivia is watching The Year Without a Santa Claus right now! I'm actually impressed that she remembered it from last year and started begging me to watch it.
5. Adam keeps begging me to get a new Christmas tree. I don't know why! Ours is small (5 foot, $20 special from Wal Mart like 6 years ago) but our space is small too, so it fits. I don't think it's the size that makes a tree, but the beauty of it.

5 Little Confessions: Clothes
Once a month Aubrey, Carrie, Jacquelyn and I team up to bring you the 5 Little Confessions link up! You can confess anything your little heart desires. And link up!
When the first of the month is a Wednesday, Five Little Confessions seems to come around even quicker than usual! This month I decided to tell you all about my clothing and shopping habits!
1. I wear a size 12 pants. My ideal size is an 8. I feel really good about being an 8. I've lost more weight and my 12s are a little loose, so I'm happy about that!
2. I buy all my jeans from the thrift store. Especially since I want to keep losing weight, spending a lot on jeans doesn't make sense. It's nice to know that I don't have to pay more than $8 a pair (that's how much all jeans are at Savers)
3. I pretty much refuse to shop at WalMart. I've never cared for their stores and then when Elizabeth Ivie told her story here, I just decided to stop shopping there. But I do go about once a year to shop the Bella Bird selection, since I feel in some way that I'm supporting local designers, even if it is via WM.
4. I often want to take outfit pictures for my blog, but I'm worried that Adam doesn't like taking them for me.
5. I only have a certain number of hangers (although I don't know what that number is, I've never counted them) and when I get a new shirt I have to give one away so that I have a hanger for it. It's my little system to not get overwhelmed with clothes I don't love.

Five Little Confessions: My phone
Once a month Aubrey, Carrie, Jacquelyn and I team up to bring you the 5 Little Confessions link up! You can confess anything your little heart desires. And link up!
I think that I am going to be the LITERAL last person on earth to own a smart phone. I've got to be getting close. It seems like every day a facebook friend is announcing their first smart phone. Not this girl. . .
1. I don't have a smart phone, just a little flip phone.
2. I hate getting stuck in group texts because they don't make any sense to me on my phone. They each come as an individual text and so I don't know who is talking to who.
3. If you send me a link, I'll try and text it to my email. If that doesn't work I'll ask you to email me the link :)
4. I instagram from my iPad. I would say that ghetto, but I don't think you'll see that many iPads in the ghetto.

Five Little Confessions: Hoarding
Once a month Aubrey, Carrie, Jacquelyn and I team up to bring you the 5 Little Confessions link up! You can confess anything your little heart desires. And link up!
1. When my cousin was helping me move from my aunt's basement to my new apartment, he dropped a box with a glass item in it (sorry to be vague, I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings). I was bummed that it didn't break because I didn't want to keep it, but I felt too bad to give it away. I have since given it away :)
2. Most people that move a lot are good at going through things and getting rid stuff. Not me! Every time we move it's like "We're just going to move again soon so I'll deal with this crap then" I'm finally dealing with it now. (Four moves since we got married five years ago. Two moves for me while we were dating but not married, so six in six years)
3. I've been working on using it all up, but I had three different containers of dish washer detergent in my cupboard. I would try one, it would make my dishes cloudy so I'd try something else. But I kept them all. Now we have soft water so they're all pretty good and I can use them up and clear out space!
4. Also with lotions. I never wanted to completely use a lotion that I really loved the smell of so I would try not to use a lot. At our last apartment I put all of my lotions in one basket and systematically tried to use up as many partial bottles as possible. I'm getting there.
5. There are somethings I don't have a problem throwing/giving away. Things that are not a full set. Olivia and Axel lost one of their blocks and I wanted to chuck the whole thing. It doesn't even matter! You don't need all 50 to have fun with it! Also, I'm missing the green bowl in my nesting bowl set and it makes me sad EVERY DAY. #OCDProblems

Five Little Confessions: Pop Culture
It's that time again, the first Wednesday of the month some of my blogging friends and I get together and "confess" some of our deepest darkest secrets. (if you can call them that!) We would love to have you link up with us!!
I decided that it was time I told you about my celebrity crush. The other confessions just kind of fell into place after that.
1. My celebrity crush is Curtis Stone, The Take Home Chef. That's how much I like food.
2. My favorite genre of music is rock 'n' roll from the 60s. The Beatles, Beach Boys, The Who, The Mamas and The Papas, The Rolling Stones. . .
3. I really really love The Lizzie McGuire Movie.
4. I'm kind of annoyed with Kim Kardashian because she has my name.
5. I wrote this while watching Saved By The Bell.

Five Little Confessions: Driving
When you're 16 doesn't the world seem to revolve around driving and dating? Well, it seemed like such a huge deal back then, but that was almost 15 years ago! Crazy. In any case, I'm going to confess to you all about my driving track record today. Enjoy.
1. I got my drivers license two months after I turned 18. It didn't make any sense to spend money on driving school when I wouldn't have had a car to drive at 16 anyway, so I waited until 18 when CA didn't require me to take drivers ed anymore.
2. I failed my driving test the first time I took it. But thankfully when you're over 18 you can keep taking it one day after another. (When you're 16 you have to wait a week in between each test) So I took it the next day and passed. That afternoon I left for Provo to start at BYU.
3. I got into my first and only car accident when I was 19, when I was home for the summer. Of all the thousands of people in Lancaster CA, I ran into my best friend's "ex boyfriend". Of all the luck.
4. The only two cars I've owned have been stick shift. Do they make stick shift minivans?
5. I like to drive on long road trips with just me and my two babies. Okay, maybe I don't like the drive part, but I do like taking trips even when Adam can't take off work.

Five Little Confessions: Food
This month guys, it's all about my eating habits!
1. I love hot dogs. I feel like this is something girls are not supposed to like. In fact Adam just brought me one from his work activity last night and even though it wasn't "clean" (hot dogs in white flour buns are not a clean food, it wasn't like dirty or anything, just very processed) I ate 2/3 of it. Mmmm.
2. I've been off sugar since May 1st and it's going so great! Except chocolate chips. I don't count those. I eat like ten a day, so not over the top. Also they're in my banana bread, which otherwise is sugar free. I don't think it counts. I just love chocolate.
3. I made this banana bread four times in the last two weeks. And I didn't really share with anyone. When I see ripe bananas at someone's house, I ask if they are going to use them or throw them out. If the answer is throw out, I snag 'em. Bananas never have a chance to get very ripe at my house.
4. Before I was married I would eat really odd meals. Like a can of green beans for dinner.
5. Tonight I made a smoothie with mangos I diced and froze like a year ago. It tasted good. Which is lucky because there are still a lot of mangos in the bag. I don't use them faster because I don't want to use them all up. It's like I'm trying to save them for something special, but c'mon. Seriously? I need to get over it.
