A very short post about being confident in your body

One of my favorite outfits

Tonight I went to a dinner party at church.  There was a really cute girl there that had a baby a couple months ago.  Her hair was cute, her makeup was cute, and her outfit was cute.  And she totally still had a belly.  I wanted to tell her how awesome I thought she was, but that would have been awkward.  I wanted to say, thanks for being confident in yourself even though you're not a size two.  It helps me want to have more confidence in myself.  It helps me realize that no one is judging me as harshly as I am judging myself.  I'm so grateful that she could do that for me.  I hope I can do that for someone else.

  1. I have the hardest time with my weight. It's like all I think about. I need to learn to have more confidence in the body that God gave me, and to treat it well.

    1. I'm with you. I'm trying to eat healthy food because I deserve it, not just because I want to be thin. To treat my body well because it's the only one I have!

  2. You are the cutest. I would love to meet up in real life sometime! I'm always impressed with women (and men!) that know their bodies are less than perfect and still rock them anyway. Such an inspiration to me.

  3. I agree! You are fashionable and beautiful if you feel you are. Confidence is a whole lot more effective than any brand name or makeup!

  5. I totally agree, though it's harder some days than others to remind myself of this. I've always thought my mom is gorgeous, and never in my life has she been thin. It helps right now that in the show I'm in, we all have such varied body types, but all the girls seem confident and happy, and that helps me feel that way, too.
